Alyssa’s Antique Depot in Pace will be hosting its second Outdoor Market and Craft Show on April 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event coincides with the “Flea Across Florida” yard sale.

The three-day “Flea Across Florida” stretches 272 miles on U.S. Highway 90 from Historic Live Oak to Pensacola, Milton and Pace.

Alyssa’s Antique Depot is home to a hodgepodge of more than 200 vendors and will host additional vendors at its Outdoor Market and Craft Show.

“We’re going to have extra vendors that are going to be outside on our front porch,” Liz Ohlhorst, assistant manager at Alyssa’s, said. “Also, we have something called our outfield which is a big field that we can have events on, and there’s going to be a lot of additional vendors setting up out there.”

Alyssa’s established vendors, along with the added vendors, will surely have something for everyone.

“There’s going to be hundreds of creative minds meeting at the same time in a huge location,” Courtney Dreadin, frequent customer at Alyssa’s and local vendor at Oodles, said. “It’s inside and outside with a family environment where you’re bound to find whatever you’re looking for.”

Alyssa’s Antique Depot offers eclectic merchandise that’s not all antique, and the Outdoor Market and Craft Show exceeds the norm with an even more voluminous inventory of treasures.

“If they can’t find it here, they’re going to have a hard time finding it because we have a little bit of everything,” Ohlhorst said.

The depot will be hosting an Outdoor Market and Craft Show in conjunction with the three-day event “Flea Across Florida” on April 13.

In conjunction with “Flea Across Florida,” the Outdoor Market and Craft Show is expected to attract people from all over the nation.

“Because of the weekend, there’s going to be a lot of people who are pickers,” Ohlhorst said. “They’re out looking to pick. We definitely have people and vendors who just have a lot of stuff you can really pick through and find a lot of bargains.”

Alyssa’s Antique Depot is over 20,000 square feet and still isn’t big enough to support potential vendors. The Outdoor Market and Craft Show provides them with the opportunity to get involved.

“We have a very long waiting list of about 200 to 300 vendors waiting to come into Alyssa’s,” Ohlhorst said. “So it’s a lot of people with more handcrafted things like jewelry, furniture, clothes, scarves and all kinds of things like that. It’s just more great stuff.”

The event will be suitable for anyone who attends whether you’re looking for something in particular or not.

“Things like this are just, sort of, part of our heritage,” Ohlhorst said. “We all went to things like this with our parents, and it’s sort of a tradition. Spending a nice spring day perusing through things that make you say ‘I used have one of those,’ or ‘my mom used to have one of those.’ It just makes you feel so good. It’s stuff like that that makes this so special because you just go around, and it brings back little flashes of memories like that.”

Alyssa’s Antique Depot is located at 4586 Chumuckla Hwy. in Pace, Florida.
