Voyager Staff Application!
Would you like to see your name in print? Are you a grammar nerd? Do you know how to take photos or video and want to share your work with the campus community?
The Voyager is looking for students who would like to be part of making the news. It’s a fun way to build your resume while learning leadership and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. And this year, you can also earn some cash! Some positions will receive a limited salary.
We are accepting applications for everything: contributing writers, contributing photographers or videographers, section editors, copy editors, Web editors, graphic artists, media directors, editorial board members and editor-in-chief. To apply for editor-in-chief, please include with the application your resume and a typed, double-spaced letter of intent, outlining what your vision for the paper is. For all other positions, a resume is optional, and you only need to fill out the application.
Applications are due March 31. Bring the completed application by the Voyager office, Room 120, Building 36, or you can bring it by the Communication Arts main office. If you want to know more about the positions open, contact Georgia Adams at editor@thevoyager.net or 850-474-2193.

Some change is good. Some change is bad. The "Change" that many members of the democratic party, especially Obama, will further stagger our national debt. We are over $12 trillion in debt and we can't even pay the interest on it. Our nation cannot afford current programs such as Medicare A, B, and D, Medicaid. Now we have politicians proposing several large programs, just for the sake of "Change." This is not just national health care, but many other programs such as American Recovery and Re-investment plan; sure, the idea sounds nice, but it cost taxpayers tons of money to represent a small percentage of the nation---not to mention, the money that goes into waste and fraud before the taxpayers even see an ounce of it. "Change" is not always a bad thing, but the only change our nation can afford now is to remove the big government programs that are crippling us. We're almost bankrupt as it is, owing a lot of our debt to China and Japan.

Hey John Newby, please write back and list the people you are personally going to take financial responsibility for paying the insurance for... i mean, since they have a "right" for you to do it and you say it's our (meaning your) responsibility? As soon as i see you personally paying for some family of strangers who may not even like you or what you believe, then i will take you seriously...The rest of your words are not worth debating since you want people to be positive and encouraging yet also want them to shut the hell up? What middle school do you go to? Or is it elementary?

Obama has turned out to be the worst president...ever! The people who voted him in office are now receiving exactly what they "deserve"...a socialist life. One other little tidbit...if the health care passes and becomes law...guess what you'll be "forced" to do? That's right kids...you'll be forced to purchase health insurance and if you don't then you'll be fined. I think it's great that the young generation that supported him are now having to buy something that they will now cry about because they won't be able to afford it. But don't worry, the penalty won't be too much. Obama and his supporters are so funny.

It's morons like Freedom Whiting that would love nothing more than to take someones right away and tell them that they know best. It's people like this that gives me reasons to exercise my right to own, carry and purchase guns...plain and simple. Move on you Statist...your kind is of no use to the rest of the world.

Two of the most immediate and obvious reasons why the CSA can never be compared to nazism are: 1) the CSA was not fighting to take over another country, as Germany was; we simply wanted to leave the USA and be our own country and 2) the CSA never had death camps for nor wanted to exterminate black people, as Germany did and wanted to with the Jews. People who compare the two are either stupid or just want to create trouble when none is necessary.
