Cross-country teams dominate Belhaven

The University of West Florida men's cross country squad captured the first 17 places en route to a first place finish in a dual meet with Belhaven College Saturday at the West Florida campus.
The ‘A’ team finished first with a score of 37. Junior Michael Padilla finished the four-mile course first with a time of 22:04. Senior Caleb Carmichael was second at 22:23.
The women's cross country squad also enjoyed success capturing the top 10 places en route to a first place finish against Belhaven College Saturday at the West Florida campus.
The ‘A’ team finished first with a score of 15. Dawn Kane finished first in the 5K with a time of 21:09. Three freshman follwed Kane.
West Florida will host the annual Argonaut Invitational next Saturday, Sept. 3, at 8 a.m. This year the meet will be at the Escambia County Equestrian Center in Beulah. The center is approximately eight miles west of campus off US Alt. 90
