Mauricia Nicholson and Paty Toledo scored first half goals, and goalkeeper Klara Vrbova faced only one shot as West Florida shutout Spring Hill, 2-0, Friday, Sept. 16 at the UWF Soccer Complex. The Argonauts recorded their 13th victory in as many matches against the Lady Badgers.

West Florida opened the scoring in the 26th minute. Toledo found Nicholson open in the clear as she broke away from her defender. Spring Hill goalkeeper Genny Lee was caught out of position and Nicholson scored into the empty net for her fourth goal of the season. Toledo added the second Argonaut goal in the 33rd minute when she took a cross from Nicholson and scored from the left side to give West Florida a 2-0 lead.

The Argonaut defense was stifling all night. Vrbova posted her fourth shutout in six matches. The West Florida defense has only allowed three goals this season and just 27 shots on goal.
