UWF downs LMU

The University of West Florida's volleyball team opened their first Gulf South Conference road trip with a pair of wins at the University of West Georgia on Friday and Lincoln Memorial University on Sunday.

After losing the first game by 10 points, West Florida rebounded to post three consecutive victories as the Argonauts knocked off Lincoln Memorial, 3-1 (20-30, 30-22, 30-21, 30-27), on Sunday afternoon in Harrogate, Tenn. West Florida won their fourth straight and their sixth in the past seven matches. West Florida improves to 13-4, (4-1 in the Gulf South Conference). Lincoln Memorial falls to 12-5, (2-2).

"Winning on the road is huge," West Florida head coach Melissa Wolter said. "We have played at home so much that this weekend was a big change for us. I am very proud of the girls for pulling out the win."
